Newspaper headlines dwell in the realm immediacy, and the right typeface will capture attention in an instant. Editor and Editor Condensed are two such families. They each feature prominent wedge-shaped serifs and visible stroke contrast. Several letterform details retain a calligraphic feeling, too. The tops of uppercase letters, numerals, and ascenders all align with one another, and all of the fonts feature large diacritics.

Each face contains all caps full West, Central and East European language support. All diacritics and marks are done in a hairline to add style and contrast. And Cindie Mono is ideal for posters, headlines and display lettering.The inspiration for Cindie Mono came from the lettering styles on optometrists sight-test posters. Then through several stages of development the overall concept for Cindie became of a half-broken Commodore64 and the computer from the 1985 movie ‘Weird Science’ hooked up to a dot-matrix printer spitting out reams of mechanical but distorted mono-lettering all the while an old modem you can't seem find keeps beeping and beeping and beeping...

This family was created inspired from the first font carved and cast in France, for the Sorbonne University's printing workshop (Paris). The characters was drawn by Jean Heynlin, rector of the university - inspired from Pannartz's - and in all probability was carved by Adolf Rusch. It has only one style, in one size (about 14 Didots points). We have added the U, J, W and Y, some accented characters and others not in use in the original, but the standard and historical ligatures and the numerous Latin's abbreviations are these of the original font. This font is proposed a "Pro"OTF one, available for standard basic Latin plus Central Europe, Baltic, Turkish, Croatian, Romanian, Celtic.
