TT Lakes Font Family

The idea for this font emerged in the city of Priosersk, which until World War II was a Finnish city called Kakisalmi. At the city museum we came across an unusual sign plate with the former name of the railway station. We could not look past such a design gem and decided to create a fontfamily that would emphasize the input of Finnish functionalists into the modern design and demonstrate our utter respect towards the land of a thousand lakes, as Finland is often referred to.
TT Lakes is a simple and functional sans-serif that consists of 54 typefaces. TT Lakes contains 3 fontfamilies: Lakes, Lakes Condensed and Lakes Compressed, a universal set of typefaces that fits pretty much any purpose. TT Lakes is like a pair of classic jeans – suits everyone and takes on any challenge. TT Lakes fontfamily supports various OT features: tnum, case, frac, ordn, sups, subs, numr, dnom.

Marita Pro Font Family

Marita Pro Font Family
OTF
Marita combines sternness with swing and, from this, develops its own, unique elegance. This makes Marita quite versatile, also and especially for headline settings. Apart from numerous ligatures, the font also includes old style figures. Marita is based on brush writing with drop-shaped serifs. The idea was to try to apply a given design approach (also see Volker Schnebel’s Manuel and Martin fonts) to every single character. In other words, start with a character and develop all of the others from it. This is quite easy for some characters but extremely difficult for others. This process generates creativity and the characters move away from the initial constructed sketch. Together in a typeface, the individual characters are now all of a piece and character.

Gandur Alte Font Family

Gandur Alte Font Family

3 OTF
Gandur is a display textura in three weights, split into two families: Alte — the German word for old — and New. Gandur was inspired by other geometric texturas, specially Max Bittrof’s Element (1933). The design began by adhering to a strict hexagonal grid, but during its development, slowly moved from a purely geometric to a more pen-based design. This is especially true in the heaviest weights. The differences between Alte and New are essentially morphological, with reflections in the character set and OpenType features. Gandur New has a more humanistic, contemporary structure and is more ‘romanized’ then Alte. Gandur New also features small capitals. Gandur Alte, on the other hand, remains truer to historical forms, most notably: S s X x Z z. Gandur Alte also features the long-s, which can be accessed via a Stylistic Set or the glyph palette.

MB Vinatage is a 6 weight font family with italics that has its roots based firmly in the type and font design of the early 20th Century. With some art deco touches in the standard caps like the N and the low bars on the E, F & H, by using the stylistic alternates these can be changed to give the font a more contemporary look. The same applies to the lower case letters, with an alternate a and g and a stylistic lowercase t. The family works great as a display font using the thin and heavy weights and just as well for smaller & bulk text. Stay traditional or go contemporary or mix it up.
