It’s intended to be a challenging typeface - not beautiful or particularly ‘useful’ in any conventional sense, but it is at the very least interesting. Inspired by the basic letterforms of the cinema subtitles during his years in Stockholm, Hirter added serifs to reflect the charm of the Swedish language.
