Designed by Don Handel in the mid-1960s, and used in the 1973 United Airlines logo developed by Saul Bass, Handel Gothic was an instant success when released to the graphic design community. The fonts were originally distributed in film format by PhotoStar, now brought back to life by URW++.

Citrus Gothic Inline is a hand drawn, distinct gothic sans font from the larger Citrus Gothic family. It’s design leans on the classic, condensed gothic appearance but adds flair with the irregular details and curled terminals. An all-caps typeface that is functional and unique, making it great for branding, packaging, headlines, and other display uses.

Letter Gothic is a minimal, clean monospaced sans-serif typeface, originally designed for use by IBM. This modern version was published by URW and designed by Roger Robertson (URW Studio) in 1993.

In the 1920s the Danish architect, printer and designer Knud V. Engelhardt made some striking typefaces for signage. The Swedish typeface designer Marten Thavenius used some structural elements from the work of Engelhardt when he designed Skilt Gothic—a typeface to be used for display and text settings in the 21st century. Skilt Gothic comes in nine weights—thin, light, regular, medium, semibold, bold, extrabold, black and ultra—in roman and italic respectively. A wide range of glyph alternatives are accessible through OpenType features. Skilt Gothic has support for more than 50 languages.

Cheddar Gothic is a hand drawn, 8 style typeface family including Sans, Serif, Slab, and Stencil (FREE) with Italics. Each font also includes 92 matching catchwords and icons to quickly add variety and interest to your designs. Great for a variety of uses: packaging, posters, t-shirts, stamps, branding, headlines, billboards, websites, etc. An all caps family, simply switch between upper and lowercase for alternates. Choose lowercase for a classic, condensed look; choose uppercase for a little more character, including extended crossbars and sliced terminals. The individual styles are all based on the same structure, so they work well to mix and match with each other to best fit the occasion. The handmade details become very evident when used large, while the steadily drawn forms maintain a good structure when set in small sizes. Using a nice, mid-range weight—that is neither too light nor too bold—it feels confident large and doesn’t close up small.
