Attaboy Font Family

Attaboy is a posh word for ‘well done’. It was made with a broken marker pen to give it that ‘eroded’ look. It is an all caps typeface, but upper and lower case can be mixed. Attaboy comes with stylistic alternates for the lower case glyphs and all the diacritics you need.

Biscayne Font Family

Biscayne is inspired by the old and classic Art Deco art and architecture found in some building ads from the 1930’s in the Art Deco District of Miami. The name of the font family is one of the most emblematic and representative places in Miami City. Biscayne can be used mainly in titles, display and short texts. This typeface family supports East Europe languages. It also includes standard and discretionary ligatures, alternative style of uppercase, fractions, numerators and denominators, end and/or terminal forms and other OpenType features.

Fairwater Font Family

Fairwater’s aesthetic derives from three sources: the cursive handwriting styles popularized in the early to mid 1900s, the simplified, forgiving letterforms of tattoo lettering – and the pictorial themes that informed early-to-mid 20th-century naval tattoos. The Fairwater family includes two highly legible sans and script faces – friendly, monoline, and casual – in light, regular and bold weights. As with many of her faces, Laura can’t resist adding a plethora of swashes and alternates to the script version – 465 to be exact – for a total of 2,230 glyphs. Fairwater also includes four showier serif faces for use at display sizes, culminating in the the vaguely botanical “Sailor” and elegantly striped “Deco” weights.

Luminare is a serif type family with a strong rhythmical structure, clean cut serifs and balanced proportions.
Luminare began life as a personal and academic enquiry into stencilled lettering. The key sources of this research where found in liturgical manuscripts from the 17th century and calligraphic experiments with the broad nibbed pen. Other influences include the work of W. A. Dwiggins, the writings of Eric Kindel, Richard Sennett, Phil Baines and Nicolette Grey.
The resulting typeface, whilst based on historical forms, has a subtle and clean aesthetic which allows the typeface to be quietly applied to a range of modern typographic applications – in both print and digital. Details include five 5 weights with Opentype features.

This heavyweight display typeface plays many different games at once. First, it's available in three main styles: Upright, Slanted and Backslant. But don't be fooled! These are not simply skewed versions of the Upright style; every single character has been adjusted in order to keep a consistent weight and contrast between the three styles. For your more elaborate chunks of verbiage, the diacritics and punctuation are also available in an extra fine style that can be triggered optionally. Finally, while all the remaining symbols are drawn in this thin weight as standard, some of them have extra ornamented versions. As you can see, there is plenty to play with here. Have fun with it!

My goal for Harfang was to create a serif typeface that would be easy to read at text sizes, while having a strong personality at larger sizes. The initial design had a purely rounded style, but with each development pass I introduced some angularity. The final result is a typeface that is easy to read in long texts, advertising copy, annual reports and the like; but one that also provides a crisp and stylish appeal in more prominent display settings. I choose the name Harfang (Harfang des neiges — Snowy Owl or Great White Owl) because after my first typeface, Migration, I wanted something with a thematic relation. On a more personal level, Harfang is the official bird of Quebec, a province with a long winter and a wonderful, white landscape, and the place I call home.

For Vidange, artist Jack Usine set out to create a “kind of unclassifiable bastard typeface, something between text and display... geometry and humanism... with a strong presence of French vernacular sign lettering.” Vidange’s inspirations are very much in the vein of amateur sign lettering, with the the improbable ‘factory-roof’ M serving as a prime example. As is often the case with so-called naive art, Vidange is full of lively elements that defy the status quo. But even with these non-standard constructions, the forms remain recognizable and exude a dignity all their own. The typeface includes: Western and Eastern European characters, smallcaps, ligatures, stylistic alternates, and four different sets of figures, and more.
