After searching for realistic “acrylic” or “impasto” brushes for Procreate I decided to create my own. After months of creating and testing the brushes they are now available! All brushes were created to be used with the Apple Pencil and without it as they react differently and beautifully both ways. I highly recommend using the Apple Pencil and your fingers to paint. I created the brushes with texture and much dimension in mind; just like real paint. The idea is to layer the strokes to get a deep texture like real paint. No need to add special effects, overlays, drop shadows, etc. although, you certainly can! Let the brushes do the work!
Other brushes in the pack include glazed, dimensional, thick, soft, paper textured, gel and a palette knife! 18 brushes and one palette knife.

The pictures shown were created using a flat white background or textured paper. Just layer the strokes to get the desired texture and dimension. See the mushroom paintings for example of this using no blending mode vs. linear burn.
